The role
This is a leadership role in our local public services team. You will help public service organizations rethink how they manage external spend, suppliers, and commercial operations, focusing on delivering measurable savings and long-term change.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and PwC Partners and Directors to shape strategies, deliver projects, and build capability within client and consulting teams.

You should be able to demonstrate how you have led change that resulted in tangible financial and non-financial benefits, particularly through improved procurement or commercial practices.
What your days will look like:
As a Senior Manager, you will:
* Lead client projects from inception to completion, including shaping approaches and embedding change.
* Manage multiple clients and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
* Guide teams and oversee deliverable quality.
* Contribute to business development and knowledge sharing to grow the practice.
* Stay informed about public sector policies, regulations, and innovations.
You will bring expertise in areas such as:
* Cost Reduction: Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities, developing cost management strategies, leading procurement projects, designing commercial strategies, managing contracts, and implementing supplier relationship programs.
* Operational Improvement: Streamlining functions, delivering reviews and change programs, and adopting new processes and systems.
* Digital Transformation: Driving innovation through data, automation, and digital roadmaps for procurement and commercial services.
This role is for you if:
* You have extensive experience in the public sector or consulting, focusing on procurement, supply chain, cost reduction, and transformation.
* You understand public sector procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act and previous frameworks.
* You have a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects.
* You possess strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
* You are confident with procurement tools such as source-to-pay platforms and data analytics.
* You are willing to travel as needed.
