Job Description Hiring: Senior Accountant Location: Marple, Stockport Salary: £30,000–£45,000 DOE Hours: Full-time I am currently working with a well-established, highly respected, and fast-growing accountancy practice based in Marple. Role Overview Accounts Preparation Prepare accurate year-end accounts and financial statements Produce reports for a wide variety of clients across different sectors Tax Compliance Handle corporate and personal tax submissions Ensure clients remain fully compliant with relevant regulations Software Work Use and adapt to packages such as Iris, Sage, Xero, and FreeAgent Client Management Build strong, long-term relationships Gather information, answer queries, and provide clear, practical advice HMRC Liaison Deal directly with HMRC on compliance and tax matters Team Support Mentor junior members and support their development Experience & Qualifications 3–5 years’ accounts preparation experience in practice AAT or ACCA qualified / part-qualified welcomed but not essential Strong IT, Excel, and accounting software skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Confident communicator with great organisation skills Working Conditions & Benefits Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm (1-hour lunch) Location: Office-based in Marple Salary: £30,000–£45,000 DOE Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays Friendly, relaxed office environment Long-term career development opportunities How to Apply To apply for this role, please reach out to Jake on J.harris@h-fts.com or contact him directyly on 0333 996 2882 to find out more
