As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out Gas Chromatograph hardware setup and testing for customer orders and development projects. You will also provide field support for customers and Emerson Service Engineers as needed. This role requires diligence, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication of issues and observations to the Production teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Debug hardware issues as necessary.
2. Complete order documentation.
3. Prepare test data for technical reports.
4. Prepare GCs for customers and conduct FATs and ISO10723 performance evaluations.
5. Manage test gases.
6. Perform laboratory support duties.
7. Provide field support, including commissioning GCs at customer sites, troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues remotely or onsite.
Candidate Profile:
Customer-focused with the ability to handle complex tasks efficiently and accurately. Adapt communication style to diverse audiences. Able to work under deadlines in a target-driven environment. Self-motivated, reliable, positive attitude, and comfortable in a changing environment.
Minimum Requirements:
* IT skills, especially Office 365 or equivalent.
* Ability to work independently.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Customer experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* HNC/HND or equivalent in science or technical subjects, with practical laboratory experience and/or experience with analytical instrumentation (preferred but not essential).
