Classroom Assistant/Support Worker (Additional SEN)
Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a meaningful difference in their lives? We are looking for dedicated Classroom Assistants (Additional SEN) to join our growing team.
As a Classroom Assistant, you will provide essential educational and personal care support to students with a range of complex needs, including autism spectrum condition. You will play a key role in fostering independence, well-being, and skill development within a therapeutic and inclusive environment.
This rewarding role includes:
* Supporting students to engage with their curriculum and participate in daily activities.
* Promoting inclusion within the school and wider community.
* Assisting with personal care needs and implementing behaviour support strategies.
* Helping students participate in social, leisure, and educational activities.
* Maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment aligned with the organisation's values.
* Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (Thursday: 8:30 am - 2:30 pm).
Additional hours may be available through an internal bank staff facility.
* Contract: Permanent.
* Leave: 55 days (28 annual leave days, 12 statutory days, 15 off-duty days).
Person Specification
* At least six months of experience in educational support or care.
* A flexible approach to working with children of varying needs and abilities.
* Annual incremental pay increases on a 6-point salary scale.
