The Role
We are seeking a dynamic High Voltage Contracts Manager to lead the development of a new High Voltage profit centre in Swansea.
This strategic leadership role involves overseeing operations, financial performance, client relationships, workforce management, and growth.
You will shape and execute business strategy, maintain a strong pipeline of work, and develop client relationships for sustained success.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with management to achieve objectives, promote safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
* Support P&L, budgets, and take full commercial ownership of the profit centre.
* Ensure efficient, customer-focused operations with a "right first time" approach.
* Manage contractual obligations and project scopes, ensuring timely delivery.
* Drive business development, pursue new opportunities, and support tender processes.
* Set measurable objectives and foster a high-performance team.
* Monitor costs and improve operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
* Lead HR activities, including coaching and workforce development.
* Support broader business initiatives and serve as a role model.
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience in team development and management.
* Understanding of P&L, budgets, and financial acumen.
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
* Experience in business development, sales, or profitability growth.
* People management skills to motivate and develop teams.
* Knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering industry.
* Higher Qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
* 5+ years managing an engineering business.
* IOSH/SMSTS H&S certification for managers.
