Job Title: Multiskilled Construction Lecturer
Salary: £31,904 - £40,233 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Wisbech
Duration: This is a fixed term role until 30 June 2026.
We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Technology faculty, and we have a new role available as a Brickwork/Groundwork Lecturer. In recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength, and we are now at the forefront of vocational education. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
The work we do in Construction is essential in supporting local businesses. We work with a huge range of companies to make sure our qualifications and curriculum offer meet the industry's needs. We cover brickwork, groundworks, carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating and technical/professional construction and we have a first-class track record of working with employers on successful apprenticeship programmes.
We have great facilities on site but are always looking to make improvements to ensure our staff and students have the best possible learning environments. Our staff are welcoming, supportive and have a great sense of humour. We work tirelessly to give all our students the best opportunity to succeed, whether that is taking the first step on to the employment ladder or moving into more senior positions. Whilst it is hard work, it is hugely rewarding, and the next smile is never far away.
We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance of 37 days per year for lecturing staff, plus five College closure days (pro-rata for part-time), fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme with Teachers' Pensions (current employer contribution is 23.68%), discounts with local businesses and access to a cycle to work scheme. CWA focusses on staff well-being and utilises both internal and external resources, such as a well-being committee and access to a free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme as well as comprehensive training and development.
Job share and part-time opportunities will be considered for the right candidate.
