EAST:MK Primary Care Network has an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician to join our team. The role is offered on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, between Monday and Saturday, on a rotation basis across the four surgeries: Ashfield Medical Centre, CMK Medical Centre, Milton Keynes Village Practice, and The Grove Surgery that make up the PCN.
The successful candidate will benefit from this unique opportunity to build strong working relationships across our organisation and will be actively involved in shaping their role over time.
Main duties of the job
* Developing prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective, and efficient prescribing within the practice;
* Supporting reception and admin teams with complex medication queries;
* Supporting GP partners on prescribing projects, cost/safety audits, and actions.

Person Specification
Experience
* Ability to work well with colleagues and within a team;
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the primary care network;
* Highly motivated with energy and enthusiasm;
* Ability to work under pressure and organise workload effectively;
* Enquiring and critical approach to work;
* Caring attitude towards patients;
* Effective communication with colleagues, patients, relatives, and agencies;
* Strong experience in community pharmacy or primary care setting;
* Confidence in analysing and presenting information to health professionals;
* Experience in implementing and promoting cost-effective strategies;
* Ability to interpret complex clinical information and present it appropriately to varied audiences;
* Experience working in a primary or urgent care setting;
* Experience working in a GP practice;
* Knowledge and use of primary care IT systems like SystmOne.
Qualifications
* Qualified and registered pharmacy technician with GPhC;
* Diploma Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services.

Salary: £29,000 per year, dependent on experience.
