About the Role - Reporting directly to the s151 Officer, this is a high-impact leadership position where you'll: Lead a team of Finance Managers and Service Managers. Provide expert financial advice to senior officers and elected members. Drive the development and delivery of medium-term financial strategies. Oversee financial governance, control, and continuous improvement. Collaborate across departments and with external partners to enhance service efficiency. What You'll Bring Strong technical accounting expertise - you'll be the go-to authority on complex financial matters. A fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) with significant post-qualification experience. Demonstrated success in leading or contributing to strategic projects and organisational change. A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience in local government finance is desirable but not essential.
