Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
2. Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
3. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
4. Patient Safety Incident Response (PSIRF) training
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Extensive experience as a clinical pharmacist
6. Management and leadership experience
7. Experience in leading change and improvement
Desirable criteria
8. Experience of producing bulletins, policies, alerts and or newsletters
9. Experience conducting thematic or system analysis (or RCA)
Knowledge
Essential criteria
10. Good knowledge of hospital incident and risk systems
11. Extensive IT knowledge: Excel, Word, Outlook
12. Good knowledge of incident reviews
13. Good knowledge of risk management in the NHS
Desirable criteria
14. Knowledge of national/local Medicines Safety Initiatives
15. Good knowledge of NHS Central Alerting System (CAS)
