Lecturer – Early Years & Childcare (T Level)
Permanent part‑time (0.8) position. Commencement from August 2026, funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards.
You will be responsible for the effective delivery and assessment of learners from Level 1 to Degree level, with a focus on the T Level in Early Years and Childcare. This includes teaching through practical sessions, online learning and work‑based placements, supporting the development of commercial awareness, employability and enterprise skills. You will ensure compliance with health and safety policies and placement requirements.
The role combines teaching with personal tutoring across a range of programmes and includes assessments in settings. You will design engaging, exam‑based assignments and practical placements that inspire learners, and contribute to internal verification processes and external verification activities.
Requirements:
* Industry background in Early Years and School Provisions (SEN experience desirable).
* Relevant degree or professional qualification, with a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Assessor qualification such as CAVA or TAQA.
* Awareness of academic quality standards.
* Excellent teaching and higher education programme delivery experience.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, and good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
Candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
