Job Description:
Purpose
The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team to support the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Mechanical Shift Maintenance Technicians.
* Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and industry regulations are followed.
* Work closely with operations to meet quality standards such as ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
* Manage mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and timely, collaborating with planning and site engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, review, and issuance of work packs with RAMS.
* Ensure work is documented and closed within the CMMS system.
* Handle timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
* Develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner.
* Contribute to root cause analyses and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Provide first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities, ensuring PMs are raised and executed properly.
SHEQ Management
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
* Promote a positive safety culture within the team.
* Report accidents, near misses, and safety improvements.
Equipment Management
* Ensure timely completion of PMs, compliance, and regulatory work orders.
* Supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate with OEM contractors for inspections and work.
