Overview

Early Years Practitioner
Broughton Primary School Nursery

Salary: £29,173 - £33,287

Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year

Working week: Monday to Friday
Shifts: varying between the hours of 7.45am and 6.10pm (available on request)


Responsibilities

The successful applicant will join our Early Learning and Childcare provision for children aged 3-5 years. The nursery operates across two sites within the city and is part of Broughton Primary School and Drummond Community High School. The role includes forming good relationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community, and contributing to an engaging and positive early years environment.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.


Requirements / Qualifications

* Eligible for registration (without conditions) with the SSSC as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children, with a practice qualification as noted in the attached job profile.
* Candidates must supply two references to be considered for shortlisting. This role requires working shift patterns, therefore please only apply if you can undertake these within the days and hours specified above.
