What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Mechanical, the successful Reliability Engineer will have three direct reports: two Mechanical Inspectors and a Lubrication Technician. This role is vital to the success of the plant's reliability by ensuring effective preventative maintenance plans and robust inspection schedules are in place, alongside investigating and resolving plant reliability issues.
The Reliability Engineer will help deliver continuous improvement in safety, equipment reliability, and overall R&M costs of the Cement Plant, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing and motivating the Reliability team to ensure coordination between departments and plant priorities.
2. Ensuring all condition monitoring activities are completed as per the inspection schedule to assess equipment condition and risks.
3. Applying preventative and predictive maintenance practices monitored by specific KPIs.
4. Leading plant reliability improvement projects for operational benefits.
5. Ensuring all plant risks are identified and addressed.
6. Researching and presenting new technologies that could improve plant uptime.
7. Contributing to the continuous improvement of the plant CMMS system.
8. Assisting with WTA Shutdowns when required.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will:
* Have a minimum qualification of a Mechanical HNC/HND or equivalent.
* Have experience in a heavy industry maintenance or reliability environment; experience in a cement environment is a bonus.
* Have experience with industrial plant condition monitoring.
* Possess problem-solving skills, especially Root Cause Analysis.
* Have technical knowledge of preventative maintenance tools.
