New Directions are looking for a Cover Supervisor to work within a Welsh Medium Secondary School in the Cardiff area. As this role is in a Welsh Language School the ability to speak Welsh is essential.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and people management skills as there will be a degree of behaviour management involved.
Candidates would be responsible for:
1. Undertaking whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher;
2. Applying the school’s behaviour management policy and report any difficulties to the class teacher;
3. Setting homework previously prepared by the teacher;
4. Provide additional support to teachers in classrooms, or to carry out other administrative tasks as required.
This role is perfect for aspiring teachers without the PGCE qualification who are looking to gain experience within education or any Learning Support Assistants who are looking to progress their professional development. We will also consider any candidate that has experience in youth work, sports coaching or any form of management.
