Working in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council, Equans is looking for a Helpdesk Assistant to join our team based in Grimsby on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working 18.75 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11, per annum and benefits package.

What will you deliver?
1. Respond to requests for assistance in person, via phone, electronically
2. Prioritise and escalate calls based on knowledge of the business impact of the reported problems
3. Advise users on appropriate action taken
4. Follow standard service desk procedures
5. Log all help desk interactions using help desk software
6. Redirect problems to appropriate resource
7. Ensure all customers (both internal and external) are dealt with in a courteous manner and without prejudice
8. Ensure effective communication at all levels and make referrals to other specialist providers where this is in the best interests of the customer
9. Take responsibility for the timely raising and processing of requisitions and work orders for the NEL Regeneration Contract
10. Advise requisitioners of correct processes and procedures and offer assistance and expertise as required
11. Liaise with EQUANS procurement to ensure requisitions are acceptable and contractors are established to ensure payment
12. Correctly assign costs on purchase orders to give Finance accurate accrual information on annual orders
13. Proactively monitor invoice status for goods receipting and invoice payment
14. Allocate scheduled PPM costs to correct property/inspection record and liaise with contractors to minimise and rectify any mistakes
15. Process monthly PPM invoices expediently
16. Allocate DLO expenses to correct DLO work orders
17. Use established systems to raise invoices for DLO jobs to make up the monthly recharge
18. Complete regular data quality checks on the Property Information software to ensure the data kept is accurate and up to date
19. Assist Service Desk Manager with monthly KPI reporting where required
20. Ensure all Data Protection, Equality, Confidentiality, and Health and Safety provisions are complied with
21. Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level.

Who are we looking for?
33. Knowledge of basic finance and accounting processes and payment handling skills
34. Knowledge of building maintenance processes would be an advantage
35. A good working knowledge of office IT systems including databases and Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and Teams
36. A good knowledge of Local Government Services
37. Be familiar with the principles of customer care and Service Level Agreements
38. Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
39. Flexible to meet the needs of the service
40. Adaptable to change and new ways of working
41. An AAT, finance or similar qualification or a willingness to complete the qualification would be advantageous.
