Senior Structural Engineer – Temporary Works Design

We are working with a growing, employee-focused structural consultancy based near Hertford, who are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background or interest in temporary works design.

The Role
You will play a key role in delivering temporary works and structural engineering solutions across a range of complex construction projects.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and delivering temporary works designs (e.g. excavation support, propping, formwork, falsework, demolition sequencing)
* Producing calculations, drawings, and technical reports in line with Eurocodes
* Developing construction methodologies and sequencing in collaboration with contractors
* Attending site visits and client meetings
* Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
* Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
About You
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
* Strong experience in permanent works or temporary works design within a consultancy or contractor environment
* Confident managing projects and liaising with clients
* Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-led approach
* UK project experience essential
