Role summary
WDHSCP Admin Assistant - 25 hour post based in Dumbarton Health Centre with requirement to work across West Dunbartonshire HSCP (Clydebank Health & Care Centre, Dumbarton Health Centre & The Vale Centre for Health & Care).
Responsibilities
* Provide effective admin support to the Community Admin Team, delivering reception/clerical support to patients, medical and nursing staff.
* Ensure patient referrals and appointments for clinics are administered and processed accurately and timeously to support smooth operation of health centres.
* Work across the HSCP’s three health centres (Clydebank, Dumbarton and The Vale) to provide comprehensive cover, following clearly defined protocols and procedures, and adhering to policies, data protection and confidentiality.
Requirements/Qualifications
* Good communications skills and IT skills relevant for this post.
* Proficient in NHS Patient Management Systems such as TrakCare, EMIS, SCI, etc.
* Confident in dealing with the public, staff and visitors.
* Willing to work across multiple sites to provide admin support as required.
Working pattern
The 25 hours will be worked across the week, Monday to Friday from 1:00pm – 6:00pm. After induction the post holder will work with minimum supervision (at times lone working) with guidance available from the Team Lead/Line manager.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
