ECHO Personnel are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver for a well-established manufacturing business based in Oakham .
The company is a world leader in the production of synchronous alternators and is looking to strengthen its warehouse team with a reliable and skilled operator working on a 08:0016:30 shift.
THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLE
The successful candidate will support goods-in, production line feeding, and despatch operations, including computer-based stock and system administration tasks. This is a varied role that is not 100% forklift driving, and will involve cross-functional warehouse support as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport and deliver components and parts to production assembly lines
Load and unload lorries safely and efficiently
Prepare, pick, and pack customer orders for despatch
Support goods-in and despatch processes, including system updates
Assist with stock control, inventory management, and location accuracy
Maintain correct and safe storage of goods, ensuring SWL compliance
Use warehouse systems (e.g. SAP or similar WMS) for stock updates and administration
Identify and report warehouse process issues, suggesting improvements
Provide flexible support across all warehouse functions as required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Requirements:
Valid ITSSAR-accredited Reach Truck licence (essential)
Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (Desirable)
Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse operations and stock control
Experience using SAP or similar warehouse management systems (desirable)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work at pace in a busy manufacturing environment
Flexible and willing to support occasional overtime/weekend work if required
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude
Hours:
08:00 16:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Monday to Friday
Pay Rate:
£28,080 per annum
