We are seeking a number of HGV1 Drivers to work for our client in Washington. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving have held their hgv1 licence for at least 6 months and no more than 6 points on licence for minor offences. Duties include both trunk deliveries and local deliveries and collections various shifts to suit days, nights weekends part time and full time. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
* Operate Hgv1 lorries for the transportation of goods to various locations.
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately for transport.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy.
* Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and others.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
Qualifications
* Valid commercial driving licence (C&E).
* Experience driving hgv1 wagons training may be provided for the right candidate.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and moving cargo as needed.
