Who You Are You are a qualified Property Lawyer with a proactive attitude and commitment to delivering results. You possess excellent communication skills and have experience in advocacy, particularly in the County and/or Magistrates' Court, with a strong capability to handle commercial and residential property work. What the Job Involves As a Property Lawyer, you will undertake the full spectrum of conveyancing work for the Council and contribute to providing an efficient legal service. Your role includes handling complex acquisitions, disposals, and liaising with Council tenants and Housing Associations. You will manage cases involving easements, boundaries, and compulsory purchase orders, including preparing evidence for inquiries and dealing with compensation claims. You will also engage in service planning, policy development, and continuous improvement efforts within the Housing and Property Team. Skills Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives Experience in advocacy and commercial/residential property work Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong knowledge of Housing Law and Civil Court Procedures Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure Adaptability to changing demands and teamwork skills Customer care and relationship building abilities Proficiency in service delivery and continuous improvement
