Catering Assistant (Driver) – Taunton
Location: Taunton, Somerset

About the Role
We’re currently recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join a busy school catering environment in Taunton.
This is a hands-on role supporting the catering team with food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
The successful candidate must also hold a full UK driving licence, as part of the role involves collecting food from a nearby sister site at lunchtime.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in preparing and serving food to staff and pupils.
2. Support with kitchen setup and cleaning duties before and after service.
3. Safely transport food between sites during lunch hours.
4. Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene standards are maintained.
5. Restock supplies and assist with deliveries as needed.
6. Work efficiently as part of a small, friendly catering team.
Requirements
7. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
8. Full UK driving licence (essential).
9. Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role (desirable).
10. Strong awareness of food hygiene and safety procedures.
11. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
