Job title: Senior Practitioner in the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team – Location: Harrogate/Leeds/Halifax/Hybrid – Hours: Flexible (part‑time/full‑time) – Salary: £55,000 – £60,000

Oakdale Group is a not‑for‑profit community‑based organisation delivering evidence‑based clinical services to children, young people and adults. We provide specialist assessments for autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma, and psychological therapies commissioned by NHS, local authorities and schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision and oversight to non‑clinical staff and junior practitioners during assessment processes.
* Support and supervise risk management, safeguarding, triage screening and case management.
* Lead clinical decision‑making for triage screening and watchful waiting.
* Ensure adherence to clinical governance, safeguarding, and policy procedures.
* Act as expertise source for complex clinical presentations and safeguarding issues.
* Promote safe, patient‑centred, compassionate care across the service pathway.
* Provide line management of team members (as required).
Senior Practice Duties
* Support the clinical lead with service development initiatives.
* Oversee triage, case management and safeguarding decisions.
* Contribute to service team meetings.
* Ensure clinical supervision aligns with Oakdale policies, NICE guidelines and professional standards.
* Support audit outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide clinical supervision to Specialist Assessment Support Workers and mentor junior members.
* Assist in recruitment, induction, training and staff retention.
* Develop and refine triage and assessment support services in line with best practice.
* Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement and digital delivery development.
* Maintain patient‑centred care and effective communication with families and professionals.
* Uphold Oakdale ethos, diversity and inclusion values.
* Maintain accurate supervision records and safeguarding compliance.
* Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Essential: Educational qualification (e.g., Specialist Teacher) with strong understanding of neurodevelopmental presentations, or professional qualification (clinical, therapeutic or equivalent).
* Desirable: Training/experience in clinical supervision, triage screening, safeguarding, risk management, service development, and travel capability.

* Proven experience in managing teams in health, education or social care.
* Experience in triage screening, safeguarding and case management.
* Strong decision‑making in triage, referral and safeguarding.
* Confident use of electronic patient management systems.
* A collaborative, supportive leader with deep understanding of neurodevelopmental pathways.
* Experience in multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.
* Strong literacy and IT skills (practice management, G Suite).
