Salary: £25,584 - £27,269 per annum | Type: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week) | Team: Educational Off Site Visits Team

The Educational Off Site Visits team provides health and safety advice, support, and guidance to Lancashire County Services that take children and young people off-site, covering almost 600 Lancashire schools. The team ensures the county council complies with legal health and safety responsibilities.
Our aim is to offer services that are equal or better than the best available, enabling more young people to access enriching off-site learning opportunities.
We are seeking a full-time Health and Safety Assistant to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will support the team in all aspects of health and safety, including group supervision and practical application of the Educational Off Site Visits Policy for schools and county council services.
Key Accountabilities
The post holder will:
* Support all aspects of the Educational Off Site Visits team’s work.
* Handle a varied workload related to health and safety, including:
* Assist in developing the county council's Educational Off Site Visits Policy and Guidelines.
* Update and maintain the EVOLVE educational visits database.
* Publish health and safety communications to customers.
* Contribute to the annual review of Type A (lower risk) off-site visits.
* Support preparation of monitoring reports for the Educational Off Site Visits Advisory Board.
* Gather and analyze accident and incident trend data.
* Assist with policy and visit submission queries from customers.
* Provide health and safety advice and EVOLVE support to staff and schools.
