The Role
We are seeking an experienced cloud engineer to join Causeway’s IT team. You will be responsible for delivering IT solutions to meet organizational needs, designing, developing, and implementing cloud and infrastructure services to enhance operational capabilities. The role includes support, ticket escalation, and project work.
The role reports to the Head of IT.
Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP to support product and engineering teams.
* Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and configuration management tools like Terraform and Ansible.
* Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, security, and costs using tools like DataDog and Azure Monitor.
* Enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM, data encryption, network security, and compliance with GDPR and CSA standards.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting continuous learning and innovation.
* Review and improve existing systems and processes.
* Document technical architectures, standards, and best practices, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on performance and upcoming changes.
* Proven experience with Microsoft Server, Endpoint Manager, and Policies (Intune).
* Experience with firewalls, TCP/IP networking, and backup/disaster recovery software.
* Willingness to learn new skills and mentor others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and VMware.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
* Experience working with Linux technologies.
* Knowledge of Sonicwall network infrastructure, ideally SDWAN.
* Endpoint security experience, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
* Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
