The role
The Best Connection West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Depot Coordinator on behalf of our well-established client based in Coventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with strong administrative and coordination skills to join a busy depot operation.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
08:00 - 16:30
Salary
£31,500 - £34,500 per annum
(Dependent on experience)
Location
The successful candidate will be required to report to our client's Darlaston site each working day, where transport will be provided to and from the Coventry depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact, liaising with internal operational teams and members of the public.
- Provide cover for the weighbridge as required, ensuring accurate record keeping and excellent customer service.
- Plan and forecast repairs, maintenance requirements, equipment orders, and defect management.
- Develop, maintain, and update records and scanning systems for plant and equipment.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and stored in line with company procedures.
- Support depot operations through effective scheduling, coordination, and administration.
- Assist with compliance and reporting requirements as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, depot, logistics, or operations support role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident liaising with colleagues, customers, and members of the public.
- Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when maintaining records and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with plant, equipment, transport, waste management, or industrial operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Must be able to reliably travel to and report to the Darlaston site each day.
