About the role
Mercedes Benz of Teesside currently has an opening for a highly motivated Bodyshop Advisor to join our team.
As a Mercedes Benz Bodyshop Advisor, you will be responsible for costing and invoicing works. You will ensure the accurate submissions of estimates to insurance companies as well as manage all internal invoicing.
You will work closely with the Bodyshop manager and Workshop controller and ensure that customer care always comes first.
Your role will include the below: -
1. To be the initial interface with the customer for all accident repair enquiries
2. To follow a clear Customer service process to ensure a consistent quality service is provided
3. To inspect customer vehicles and provide an initial quotation for repair
4. To review service customer vehicles and quote for cosmetic or alloy wheel repair
5. Organise and book all repair work as well as Face to Face collection & Delivery
6. Organise customer loan cars in conjunction with Bodyshop procedures
7. Liaise with Customers, Insurance Companies and service providers to ensure all financial and repair formalities are effectively completed to the satisfaction of all parties.
8. Inspect repaired vehicles on return to our retail centres to ensure quality of workmanship
9. Take opportunities to promote and provide additional Company services and products.
This is a full-time role so to ensure we provide our customers with the highest possible levels of service.
About you
Previous experience in is essential. This is a customer service-focused role that would suit a forward-thinking, people orientated person. You must have excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner as the majority of authorisations are negotiated over the telephone.
Knowledge of the motor industry and the Kerridge system would also be advantageous; however, this is not crucial for the right candidate.
Ideally, you will have excellent organisational skills and be able to handle conflicting demands whilst able to identify priorities in a highly demanding environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong, cooperative relationships with customers & colleagues are also a must.
