Job description
We're looking for an individual to join the Commercial Directorate as a Digital Marketing Manager. This role requires an individual who will be keen to learn and develop new skills, to enable them to undertake their role in developing effective internal and external working relationships with suppliers and stakeholders and produce marketing material to improve product awareness and increase sales. This role will require you to gain an understanding of the Personalised Registrations product and the commercial market in which it operates, in order for you to be able to promote the brand values across multiple digital channels and events with enthusiasm.
As Digital Marketing Manager, you will be required to support and promote the successful delivery of the Personalised Registrations sales scheme objectives using collaborative tools to design, develop and post engaging digital marketing material as well as managing customer engagements through social media channels.
In addition, you will plan and progress marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and work closely with external suppliers in managing and improving a customer facing website. The role requires a keen and analytical eye to identify and implement improvements to sales and marketing operations which supports revenue generation and the continuous improvement of the customer's experience.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:
* Design and develop engaging digital marketing material for use across social media, websites and marketing emails, schedule and post all DVLA's personalised registrations external digital communications, managing direct customer engagements online through social media channels.
* Plan and progress new marketing campaigns and strategies to drive customer engagement and sales of personalised registrations. Work closely with external suppliers to maintain and improve an effective customer facing website.
* Collate, monitor and interpret statistical information, undertake data analysis and produce regular MI reports to inform effective resource, financial and marketing planning and delivery.
* Develop your knowledge of the Personalised Registrations product and the wider commercial market in which it operates. Develop an understanding of customer motivation and promote brand values with internal and external stakeholders.

Person specification
We're looking for an inquisitive individual who has experience of planning and progressing marketing campaigns, including designing and developing engaging digital marketing material.
You will think strategically, looking for innovative ways of doing things and enjoy coming up with new creative and original ideas, taking into consideration all options when making decisions. You have an analytical mind and are comfortable with reviewing data to identify and spot trends in relation to costs, risks and wider implications.
You will be an excellent communicator, who knows how to tailor communication styles to suit your audience.
Confidence is important for this role, as you will interact and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, therefore you will need to demonstrate good listening skills and be able to consider the views and ideas of others.
You will take an interest in expanding your knowledge and keep up to date with the issues that affect your work area.
Additional Information
Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.
Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to be able to work at least 35 hours per week.
This role is suitable for hybrid working, which is a non-contractual arrangement where a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements.
The expectation at present is a minimum of 60% of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders. Your designated workplace will be your contractual place of work. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.
