You will be leading and managing clinical and administrative teams, ensuring the delivery of excellent care, maintaining quality standards, and meeting financial targets.
As the Hospital Director at Pinhoe View, you will have overall leadership and management responsibility for the service, lead the multidisciplinary team, and oversee operational performance while developing commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Facilitating the development of quality healthcare services that respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, reflecting market trends and evidence-based practice.
* Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met.
* Leading the senior management team on site, developing local strategies, and ensuring adherence to the service’s objectives, quality improvement, and business plans.
* Promoting and enhancing the hospital’s reputation for specialist care and service.
* Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per CQC expectations.
* Engaging with Provider Collaboratives.
To be successful as Hospital Director, you will:
* Have an excellent track record in management within the healthcare sector.
* Possess a clinical background and understanding of mental health services.
* Demonstrate a focus on performance and delivery to support successful service development, budget control, business growth, and revenue generation.
* Exhibit a credible, inclusive, and supportive management style combined with strong leadership and sound knowledge to provide direction and implement change.
* Have knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a health sector organization.
* Possess working knowledge of the NHS and independent healthcare sectors.
Where you will be working
Location: Pinhoe View, College Way, Exeter, EX1 3PZ
Pinhoe View is a purpose-built facility providing mental health services for adults with acute conditions across two wards and eight flats. The 24-hour inpatient service is supported by a multidisciplinary team specializing in assessment, treatment, and stabilization of mental health crises. You will work shifts including weekends, bank holidays, and nights, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9-5, with some flexibility outside these hours.
