Additional Needs Assistant - SEN Primary School | Tameside | Full-Time | September Start (ASAP Available)
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in childrens lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Additional Needs Assistant to join a supportive SEN primary school in the Tameside area, with a September start and potential for an earlier start for the right candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist setting that prioritises inclusion, wellbeing, and personalised learning. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs and moderate to complex learning difficulties. Pupils are supported not only academically, but also in their social, emotional and personal development.
You will be joining a welcoming and experienced team of teachers, SEN specialists, and support staff who work collaboratively to create a structured and nurturing environment. The leadership team is highly supportive and committed to staff development, making this an ideal opportunity for both experienced SEN staff and those with transferable skills from care, youth work or support roles.
The school offers excellent, purpose-built facilities including sensory rooms, breakout spaces, outdoor learning areas and well-equipped classrooms designed to support engagement and emotional regulation. Smaller class sizes and strong staff support allow for a personalised approach to learning.
The school is conveniently located in Tameside with strong public transport links and on-site parking available.
