Would you like to review First Hearing Specified cases. Does it interest you to be the Prosecution representative in court and present cases at First Hearing Specified Courts, making decisions with regard to prosecutions and to case manage not guilty plea cases. This work will be undertaken in an open Magistrates' Court.

About the role
You would be attend and present specified offence cases to Magistrates' Courts throughout the Hampshire and IOW Area, review all case files listed for that session and make decision to withdraw cases that fail to meet the required standards of evidence, and prepare cases to be presented and To liaise with Court Legal Advisor regarding workload.
You would provide explanations to the defence either the member of the public or their representative, concerning the process to expect and associated implications and potential outcomes, Conduct PNC checks to verify driving licence details/ driving history for court presentation and present facts of the case and its context in response to mitigation posed, legal arguments or as directed by the Magistrate to provide clarity.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to Educated to QCF Level 2 (3:5 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
