Job summary
It is an exciting time to be joining London North West University Hospitals and our Finance department. LNWH is a large‑multi‑site Trust with close to a £1bn turnover, supporting the communities of Harrow, Brent and Ealing. The Finance Department has over 120 members of staff across Financial Accounts, Management Accounts, Income and Contracting, and Transformation and Strategic Finance. We support staff personal development through the NW London Academy and Talent Board and offer a training scheme for accountants at all stages of their academic study.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Management Accountant will provide a proactive management accounting service to one of the Trust’s divisions, responsible for a clinical or non‑clinical portfolio. Duties include liaising with budget holders, maintaining monthly reporting, assisting with forecasts and budget setting, producing month‑end budget statements from the ledger in line with Trust reporting timetables, and delivering high‑quality financial reports and analyses. The role requires business‑case advice, long‑term planning support and complex financial analysis to aid operational decision‑making. The accountancy will operate autonomously, supporting multiple budget holders and working as part of a team that delivers timely, high‑quality financial management services. Support for the Senior Finance Manager in forecasting, costing, budget setting and income/expenditure analysis is also part of the role.
