Are you looking to share your skills and experience in Carpentry with the next generation? Do you want to inspire and support learners as they take their first steps into the construction industry?
This exciting role will include:
* Teaching and supporting students on Level 1 and Level 2 City & Guilds Diplomas, including a large apprenticeship programme.
* Delivering both practical and theoretical lessons that align with awarding body requirements.
* Inspiring learners by sharing real-world experiences and challenging them with practical problem-solving.
* Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
As a Carpentry lecturer, you will:
* Teach and support students on Level 1 and Level 2 City & Guilds Diplomas, including a large apprenticeship programme.
* Deliver practical and theoretical lessons aligned with awarding body requirements.
* Inspire learners through real-world experiences and practical problem-solving.
* Monitor and assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
* A recognised Carpentry qualification and relevant vocational experience.
* Knowledge of the City & Guilds Carpentry curriculum and experience in lesson planning and delivery.
* A passion for teaching and the ability to motivate and engage learners.
* (Desirable) Internal verification experience, a TAQA qualification, or the ability to teach additional trades such as bricklaying, painting & decorating, or plumbing.
* For many teaching roles, applications from candidates at any stage of their career are welcomed, including industry professionals with no or limited teaching experience. We offer teacher development and qualifications to support success in the classroom.

Annual salary: £26,877 - £41,414
(Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time, 37 hours/52.14 weeks
