Part Time – 18.5 hours per week – Wednesday to Friday
An exciting opportunity for a Welfare Officer has arisen in which you will provide a comprehensive, professional and confidential welfare service to all staff and their dependants, offering objective advice on personal issues and ensuring the psychological wellbeing of those involved in traumatic incidents.
You will assess and analyse the needs of the clients, using professional knowledge recommend solutions, and ensure adequate supervision is provided in bringing these issues to a successful conclusion. You will also offer a safe haven of confidential support to all staff and their families regardless of their backgrounds. Assist with any issues which may infringe on an individual’s ability to perform in the workplace.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, listening and empathy skills, including an ability to learn or to have skills in the following areas - stress and trauma, bereavement, finance and debt, relationships and delivery of mandatory psychological screening.
Candidates must have emotional and psychological resilience to deal with the demands of this post and will undertake pre-placement psychological screening.
