FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a talented Integration Specialist for our client within the education sector.
We are looking for an experienced Integration specialist for our client within the education sector. You will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of implementing and rolling out new software platforms as well as maintaining and updating existing platforms to grow an effective software ecosystem. You will be managing workstream integrations between a wide range of IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage integration of (application and data) system components within a predefined environment, to meet the current and future academic, educational, and business objectives.
* Build and support integration services for applications and platforms, transitioning from Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
* Participate in all phases of system development with emphasis on evaluation and integration.
* Responsible to install, and maintain appropriate system’s software programs, tailor vendor supplied software, perform systems regenerations, ensure maintenance of software systems and provide IT support.
* Provide support for implementation of testing tools and software as well as maintain and administer a centralised information management system to include software updates, data migration, workflow control, user interfaces, and access methods.
* Assist in delivering guidance and governance for vendors, using technical knowledge and expertise to influence and aid project governance and decision making.
* Where data capabilities are not built inhouse, help curate those services employing a broad range of complex technical or professional activities, therefore investigating, defining, and resolving complex issues.
* Provide re-usable shared data services to ensure the ‘build once, use many times’ ethos.
* Provide appropriate 2nd and 3rd line support for integration queries that are escalated from Service Operations.
* Keep documentation records of all updates, issues, and repairs.
* Fully understand the importance of security to own work and the operation of the organisation. Seek specialist security knowledge or advice when required to support own work or work of immediate colleagues.
Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent, preferable in computer science, management information systems or a related field.
* Experience in supporting and driving cross organisational engagement and agile projects.
* Experience in system integration with experience in working on integration workstreams.
* Experience with Azure Enterprise Integration Services and Azure DevOps, including APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus etc.
* Familiarity with creating detailed system interface specifications, field mapping, and system process designs.
* Broad knowledge of IT solutions and business process, principles, and practice.
* Current experience in designing, building, and supporting application and data integration platforms, using the latest technologies, in a large organisation.
* Knowledge of online programming interfaces, such as APIs, and relevant protocols, such as SOAP, REST.
* Knowledge of database systems and working ability to program complex applications in SQL, PL, MC/Access, and Oracle Database.
* Working knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques.
* Knowledge and understanding of raw data source and downstream production file requirements by product.
* Able to articulate and translate complex technical solutions, and describing the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of implementation and integration to wider programme stakeholders.
* Team player, able to work collaboratively cross-function to achieve a common organisational goal, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of stakeholders in other disciplines and functions.
