Principal/Senior or Experienced HV Plant Design Engineer (Substation Design) – Stantec, Brighton, England, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the HV team for electrical substation design projects, supporting and leading FEED design and detailed design for substation refurbishment/extensions and new-build projects.
* Collaborate with other disciplines and clients across the country on projects that can include HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED and connections schemes.
* Support/lead FEED design and detailed design for substation refurbishment and new-build projects; ideally experience with key T&D clients in the UK.
* Develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges in partnership with clients.

About You / Qualifications
* You will ideally have a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience as HV Substation / Primary Plant Design Engineer; experience in design and specification production for HV Substation plant electrical power systems and related components; understanding of P&C aspects is preferable.
* You will be a proactive individual with knowledge of the electricity transmission and distribution industry; capable of coaching and working within the energy team; engaged in the engineering community and able to share knowledge and promote best practices.
* We welcome candidates from diverse technical backgrounds who may not meet the above criteria; Stantec will provide development, support and training. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field is expected; willing to learn.
