Customer engagement forms a critical part of this role, good communication skills are very desirable. You will be expected to provide technical advice on the effective completion of the annual works programme as well as maintaining, repairing, improving and operating of a range of flood risk assets both from rivers and coastal. As responding to incidents is a central part of what we do, you will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents. This may attract an additional payment and full training, and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role. Due to the nature of the sites we visit and stand-by incident duty required as part of this role, all candidates must live within 45 minutes of their base location and be able to swim. You will need a Full UK driving licence prior to applying and access to your own vehicle.
