About our Client
Our client is a creative person and enjoys a variety of things including learning new languages, creative writing and socialising with friends. They are venturing away from home for the first time and are looking for someone creative, compassionate and reliable to join a team of PA’s in helping facilitate this next step in our clients journey of seeking independence. Experience with caring for a neurodivergent individual is essential for this role.
As written by her...
“I’ve chosen Sussex University because it is close to my home in Hove as I still want to go swimming with my family on Wednesdays and might need to go home a couple of times a week as I adjust living away from home, plus I know my city. I will live in student halls during my time at university where you will have a separate room next to me.
I have chosen to study Creative Writing as it is a big passion of mine and I hope to make a career out of it one day, whether that be a novelist, screenwriter, playwright, journalist etc.. I try to write as much as possible, both for my degree and own enjoyment and researching for my own stories as much as possible, whether that be reading or watching films.
I am currently teaching myself Italian and try to practice whenever I can through mutual contacts or local conversational groups. I enjoy going out and socialising, whether that be meeting my friends for coffee, joining societies, going to the theatre/cinema or other general out and about activities, so PA’s who are not only prepared to, but looking forward to, supporting me with the social aspect of student life are really important.”
Preferable skills:
* Experience/Knowledge of caring for a neurodivergent individual (Essential)
* Great working attitude
* Excellent sense of humour and ability to not take life too seriously
* Physical fitness, patience, and a caring nature
* Strong communication and listening skills

* Experience in a creative field would be desirable to assist our client with their work.
* Confident in the use of Google Docs and Microsoft Word
