Job Description:
CK Group is recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager, Facilities Management, to join a growing research facility in Oxford on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, requiring three days on-site weekly.

The new campus will feature advanced R&D facilities, laboratories, oncology clinics, and will bridge scientific discovery with real-world applications across fields like biomedical science, engineering, and public health.
The Role:
The Procurement Category Manager will oversee Hard and Soft FM services and related categories such as Laboratory Equipment and Services, ensuring effective procurement strategies and supplier management.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for Facilities Management, including M&E maintenance, cleaning, security, catering, workplace services, and minor construction works.
* Manage procurement for Laboratory Equipment and technical services related to Facilities Management.
* Lead tendering, negotiations, supplier selection, and contracts to ensure value, quality, and risk mitigation.
* Build relationships with Facilities, Real Estate, Laboratory Managers, Health & Safety, Finance, and Legal teams.
* Analyze markets and suppliers for cost savings, service improvements, innovation, and sustainability opportunities.
Candidate Profile:
* Extensive procurement experience, especially in Facilities Management sourcing.
* Experience in procuring laboratory equipment and services within an FM context.
* Background in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
* Proven contract negotiation skills.
* BSc in Procurement, Facilities Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
* MCIPS qualification or working towards it.
