ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Demand Planner/Merchandiser to join a fast-paced consumer products business. This is a key cross-functional role responsible for turning sales forecasts into profitable, deliverable sales while ensuring optimal stock availability across major retail accounts.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Finance, Buying, Product Development, and Logistics teams to manage forecasting, stock planning, reporting, and customer communication. The position offers significant exposure to major retail and grocery customers and plays an important role in driving commercial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Analysing weekly sales performance and producing accurate trading reports
* Managing stock availability and supporting reorder planning
* Updating and maintaining sales forecasts in line with customer demand
* Preparing customer trading documents and participating in customer review calls
* Monitoring lead times and coordinating stock arrivals with internal teams
* Managing retailer portals, product setup, and sales data accuracy
* Identifying risks and opportunities relating to stock and forecast performance
* Supporting continuous improvements across reporting and planning processes
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working in a commercially driven environment. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities while collaborating with both customers and internal stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Background in merchandising, supply chain, sales operations, or commercial planning
* Experience producing sales, stock, or commercial reports
* Knowledge of forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes
* Advanced Excel and data-handling capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable experience includes:
* Working with retail or grocery customers
* Exposure to retailer systems and customer portals
