As a Gambling Harm Prevention & Education Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of this movement — educating, empowering, and protecting young people by giving them the tools to make informed, resilient choices.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver Impactful Education
o Design and deliver engaging workshops in schools, communities, and professional settings
o Create innovative, age‑appropriate resources (including SEN‑inclusive content)
o Adapt programmes using real feedback, trends, and research
* Build Strong Community Partnerships
o Work closely with schools, health professionals, and local organisations
o Deliver training to professionals, parents, and carers
o Act as a key ambassador for gambling harm prevention
* Empower Young People
o Develop and mentor Youth Champions & Ambassadors
o Co‑create campaigns and initiatives with young people
o Organise events that inspire and educate
* Provide Early Support
o Offer brief interventions and guidance to those at risk
o Signpost individuals to specialist services
o Deliver wellbeing drop‑ins following sessions
* Measure & Improve
o Track programme impact using data and feedback
o Continuously refine delivery to maximise outcomes
What We’re Looking For
* Essential
o Experience working with young people or in youth/community settings
o Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
o Experience designing and delivering training or educational programmes
o Knowledge of youth work approaches and learning methods
o Ability to engage diverse audiences with a non‑judgemental approach
* Desirable Experience
o Experience in gambling harm, addiction, or public health
o Project or programme management experience
o Interest in research or developing evidence‑based practice
* Qualifications
o Level 4 (or above) in Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Health Promotion or similar
o Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
