NWCare is a leading domiciliary care agency providing healthcare in the community for over 50 years. We are hiring a Quality Monitoring Officer for our busy Belfast branch.
JOB SUMMARY
The role involves ensuring NWCare Service Users receive care in accordance with company policies, procedures, and objectives. Responsibilities include conducting quality monitoring, health and safety risk assessments in line with legislation and company policies, staff monitoring, and conducting spot checks on behalf of the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct service quality monitoring, including onsite visits and telephone monitoring of Service Users.
2. Attend Service User reviews and contract monitoring reviews.
3. Follow up on and record any issues or complaints from Service Users or relatives, including referring complaints to the Registered Manager.
4. Report monitoring findings to the Registered Manager for auditing and make recommendations for improvements via monthly quality monitoring reports.
5. Monitor staff and Service Users according to monitoring schedules and standards.
6. Perform health and safety risk assessments in compliance with legislation and company policies.
7. Promote NWCare's aims and objectives as outlined in the Statement of Purpose.
8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
9. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with company policies and GDPR legislation.
10. Participate in Care Management reviews as required.
11. Report quality issues or concerns to the Registered Manager.
12. Complete and submit reports, action plans, and quality improvement plans within scheduled times.
13. Engage in performance reviews and development planning.
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
- QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or higher.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with quality systems and processes.
REGISTRATION
- Registered with the NI Social Care Council and/or the Nursing Midwifery Council.
KNOWLEDGE
* Evidence of personal and professional development.
* Knowledge of quality assurance systems and RQIA standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* High accuracy standards.
