About our Team
Our team operates in squads, each consisting of a Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Dev Lead, Developers, and Testers. This structure enhances connectivity and allows for faster delivery as all resources work together on dedicated tasks.
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Lead/Manager, you will lead a team of software developers and also engage in hands-on coding. This role involves a 50/50 split between management and coding responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Mentoring and training entry-level software engineers as directed by department management.
* Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
* Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
* Managing and encouraging new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations.
* Serving as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific area of responsibility.
Requirements
* Experience managing or leading a team of Software Engineers.
* Proficiency skills in Java, Spring Boot, Angular or ReactJS and PostgreSQL.
* Ability to partner with internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
* Proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
* Be able to collaborate, support and drive team members to deliver on results, providing technical and professional guidance.
