Join Our Team as a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician at Thames Water - Thames Valley
We're recruiting skilled and dedicated Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technicians to join our growing team across the Thames Valley. If you're passionate about hands-on work, problem-solving, and making a real difference in your community, this could be the opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing as an R&M Technician:
As an R&M Technician, you will lead a two-person R&M team, ensuring all maintenance and repair tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll be a key player in keeping vital infrastructure running smoothly.
* Have experience or training in repair and maintenance - ideally within the water industry.
* Be comfortable using computers and IT equipment.
* Be proactive, solution-focused, and capable of working independently.
* Communicate technical issues in a clear and simple way.
* Have a positive, "right first time" attitude and be open to change.
* Be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
* Be confident, motivated, and committed to high standards.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* EUSR Water Hygiene Card.
* Streetworks (NRSWA) or SSSTS qualification.
* Level 2 Service Avoidance.
* First Aid Qualification.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Parts C1 & E of the UK Driving Licence.
* Mains & Service Laying Training.
* Underground Cable Detection.
* Manual Handling Training.
* Mini Digger / JCB Qualifications.
* Lorry Loader Training.
* Deep Excavation / Trench Timbering Training.
* Temporary Works Qualification.
* Abrasive Wheels Certification.

Salary & Benefits:
* Up to £43,460 per annum, plus a van and fuel card
* 24 days annual leave, increasing to 28 with service, plus bank holidays
