Your role: We’re looking for a passionate Business Analyst to help us deliver and manage modern infrastructure for the entire company. You will be part of the Client-Side Services team within TechOps. This team covers all things Workplace and Identity & Access Management. You will gain experience in a few areas, examples include Microsoft 365, Laptops and Mobile Devices, Collaboration and Productivity, Access Management and more. Workplace and Identity Services are fundamental needs for the entire organisation. For example, if it’s difficult for employees to collaborate, it could slow down the company, if it’s done well, it could transform the organisation. You will play a crucial role within multiple projects. You will talk to people in IT and the business to understand business needs and act as the bridge between TechOps and people outside of TechOps. You will gather data and make data-based recommendations, whilst also helping us solve business and technical problems. Part of your role will include helping us make sure we’re creating a great user experience for the thousands of employees that use our services every day. The Team The TechOps team was created following the IPO of Elanco, separating from Elanco’s previous parent company Eli Lilly & Company. TechOps is responsible for all IT Infrastructure across the enterprise and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services and processes. Internally, we like to describe TechOps as a ‘start-up within an enterprise’! Your Responsibilities: Capturing business needs in the form of requirements or user stories. Collaborating with people outside of TechOps, acting as the bridge between our engineers and the IT or Business teams. Presenting business cases, using different data points to help us make the right decision. Managing the backlog of requirements/user stories. Prioritising needs within the backlog and making trade-off decisions. Evaluating and testing our solutions before we roll them out (e.g. providing feedback, guidance and suggestions). Building a plan to rollout/implement new capabilities to ensure a smooth landing and strong adoption. Researching and understanding the end user experience, looking for opportunities to improve it. Designing mock-ups and visuals to help us see how a solution could look. Creating flow charts to capture business processes and user journeys. Developing communications for multiple audiences (e.g. senior leaders, end users). Embedding Workplace and Identity solutions across the enterprise by running engagement activities (e.g. Tech Talks, Training sessions). Leading side-projects across the team. Running pilots and proof of concepts to help us evaluate new technologies. Engaging in the community (internally and externally) across multiple channels, looking to share, educate and inspire. Ensuring security, privacy and quality practices are embedded in everything we do. What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): 1 years of experience in information technology/technical environment. 1 years of experience in an analyst role (e.g. business/systems/technical analyst). Experience understanding business needs and finding the right solutions. Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, for managing project backlogs and prioritizing tasks. Familiarity with flowcharting tools or techniques for capturing business processes and user journeys. Experience in change management and running engagement activities to ensure strong adoption of new solutions. Strong analytical skills. Strong organizational and communications skills with examples of being able to explain things in a simple and concise way. Experience with facilitation and co-ordination of projects. Strong personal & work organisational skills. Effective time management skills.
