Do you want to make a difference with the work you do? Join us as a Project Procurement Manager to lead supplier strategy, sourcing, and commercial delivery across multiple UK infrastructure and technology projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Orchestrate all project procurement activities from bid phase to project delivery
2. Drive early procurement involvement to optimise cost, design, technical feasibility, and supply‑chain resilience
3. Ensure full compliance with Yunex Procurement, Logistics & Sourcing policy, LoA requirements, and internal governance standards
4. Actively participate and support in major project milestones including kick-offs, workshops, LoA meetings, lessons learnt, and project closure
5. Develop project‑specific procurement strategies and supplier packages
6. Act as the primary procurement interface to the bid or project team, ensuring transparency on supplier strategy, risks, and commercial status
7. Coordinate supplier engagement, sourcing activities, and negotiations in collaboration with the relevant commodity managers
8. Ensure full compliance with ESG, supplier approval, and governance standards
9. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in multiple departments
10. Drive cost optimisation, supply‑chain risk mitigation, and contract performance
11. Manage supplier escalations and ensure timely resolution through the appropriate procurement or management channels
Qualifications & Experience:
12. Experienced procurement professional with project experience, preferably in transport, engineering, or technology sectors
13. Solid understanding of structured procurement processes, sourcing governance, and commercial negotiations
14. Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into supplier requirements
15. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
16. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP an advantage), procurement tools, and data platforms
17. Professional procurement qualification, CIPS or equivalent
