We are looking for a Civil Engineer to work in our expanding Flood, Maritime and Coastal team in our Bradford-on-avon Office. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join an established and growing team with opportunities to work on a wide range of flood defence and river restoration projects in the South West and further afield. We are looking for a new team member who recently Chartered with CIWEM or the ICE or is able to demonstrate significant progress towards their Chartership application.
You will get the opportunity to develop your career with us, working on interesting and varied flood, coastal and maritime projects for our clients including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and local authorities.
We undertake feasibility studies to select optimum solutions; prepare business cases to unlock funding; design cost-efficient schemes using the latest digital technologies; provide construction supervision and administrative support; and advise on how to best manage and extend the life of our clients’ assets.
We will provide all relevant training, development and support so that you may further your engineering career. We are a diverse and energetic team and you will play a key role in contributing to our team’s and companies’ success.
About the Role
1. Deliver packages of work within budget and work schedule to meet the project requirements
2. Understand project scope and identify contractual change
3. Understand the customer’s basic and performance requirements
4. Undertake feasibility assessments, optioneering, outline and detailed design
5. Balance the workload of multiple projects
6. Prepare clear and concise deliverables appropriate for the intended audience
Essential Requirements
7. Civil Engineer with necessary qualifications to achieve IEng MICE or CEng MICE or equivalent other institutions.
8. Desire to work proactively towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of the ICE, CIWEM or other equivalent institutions
9. Motivated to work on flood and coastal risk management projects, experience is preferable
