We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Stourbridge supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), including learners who are non-verbal and require tailored communication support.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with MLD and SLD on a 1:1 and small group basis
*
Work closely with the class teacher and wider therapy teams
*
Support non-verbal pupils using alternative communication methods (PECS, Makaton, visual timetables, AAC where appropriate)
*
Assist with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
*
Provide personal care where required
*
Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (MLD, SLD, ASD, complex needs)
*
Confident supporting non-verbal communication strategies
*
Calm, resilient and adaptable
*
Team player with a proactive approach
*
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
