Initially covering a maternity leave, this role offers a unique opportunity to work additional hours (up to 40 hours per week) during the first 12 months, before becoming a permanent part-time position of 24 hours per week when the current post-holder returns.</p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and become an integral part of a business that values teamwork, positivity, integrity and having fun at work.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>This is a varied and hands‑on position with responsibility for:</p><ul><li>Sales Ledger</li><li>Purchase Ledger</li><li>Nominal Ledger</li><li>Credit Control</li><li>Bank Reconciliations</li><li>Payment Runs</li><li>Supporting the Finance Director with day‑to‑day finance activities</li></ul><p>Whilst the role covers all aspects of transactional finance, a significant proportion of your time will be focused within the Sales Ledger function. The company operates a highly effective credit control process, resulting in no bad debts.</p><h3>What Were Looking For</h3><ul><li>Minimum 3 years experience in an Accounts Assistant preferred or similar finance role</li><li>Strong understanding of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Nominal Ledger and Credit Control</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Confident using finance systems and able to quickly learn bespoke software (MAMS) with in‑house video instructions provided</li><li>Good Microsoft 365 skills</li><li>Organised, proactive and able to manage workload effectively</li><li>Best practice training will be provided from the outset so active listening is important</li><li>A positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude</li></ul><h3>Personal Qualities</h3><p>We’re looking for someone who will thrive within a close‑knit team environment.
