Job Description Mackie’s of Scotland produces the nation’s favourite ice cream and chocolate from the family farm in Aberdeenshire. We remain fully committed to our environmental agenda and are proud to produce twice as much energy as we consume.
Due to continued growth of the business, we are recruiting a Production Operative in our ice cream production and on-site packaging manufacturing area.
Duties include general day to day functions operating various production lines, monitoring efficiency, carrying out regular quality checks, running semi-automated machines and packing off finished product.
Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred, however full training and support will be provided. This work involves varying amounts of lifting and manual handling, therefore a good level of physical fitness is required.
Own transport is essential due to our countryside location (AB51 8US).
This is for a permanent contract for 40 hours per week. The shift pattern is Monday - Friday with varied shifts that start from 5am start to a 7pm finish with a 2 weeks early shift 2 weeks late shift on a rotation basis.
We pay the Real Living Wage (£12.60 p/h) with the opportunity for overtime.
