Job Purpose
The People Business Partner will build and maintain relationships across the En Route team, providing advice, guidance, and challenge surrounding People initiatives and processes. Acting as a true business partner, the role will support the People Director and broader HR team in the development and delivery of the wider People strategy.
In addition, this role focuses on driving improvements in learning and development to enhance management and leadership capability, identifying opportunities to cultivate talent within the business, and ensuring the appropriate tools and systems are in place to deliver industry-leading results, job satisfaction, autonomy, career development, and recognition.
The People Business Partner will work closely with the HRD to deliver the full scope of HR services, continuously seeking new ways to support and elevate En Route employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with HRD to develop and implement a learning and development strategy aligned with the En Route Mission Map.
* Deliver a Management & Leadership development program for En Route.
* Assess learning and development needs across the business and design, facilitate, and evaluate learning experiences, including e-learning modules, workshops, and leadership development.
* Establish training opportunities to increase line manager capability.
* Provide colleagues with opportunities for upskilling to increase productivity and performance.
* Work with senior leaders to assess capabilities, effectiveness, and competence to determine departmental training needs.
* Maximize the use of the apprenticeship levy for funding training at all levels.
* Manage En Route’s apprenticeship portal, including learner setup, agreements, payments, and relationships with training providers.
* Manage professional qualifications and support the identification of suitable providers.
* Foster a high-performance culture by embedding key behaviors—promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Deliver management information and KPIs to stakeholders and manage course evaluation processes.
* Support talent management and succession planning initiatives in collaboration with the HR team.
* Manage the H&S training portal for new joiners and assign additional courses as needed.
* Oversee and manage the training budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with financial constraints.
* Utilize psychometric tools and assessments to analyze and improve individual and team performance.
* Maintain training records and metrics via the HR Information System.
* Support monthly payroll coordination for En Route Global entities.
* Ensure HR governance around employment records.
* Act as a point of contact for employee relations, supporting and coaching leaders.
* Work with leaders to establish structures supporting current operations and future growth.
* Manage resource requirements through the Monthly Remuneration Committee, ensuring benchmarking is completed.
Qualifications & Experience
* CIPD Qualification or relevant experience.
* Training in delivery of psychometric assessment tools (e.g., Myers Briggs, Insights).
* Proven experience in Learning & Development, including designing and delivering management and leadership training, both virtual and face-to-face.
* Strong knowledge of learning theories, design methodologies, psychometric tools, and learning principles.
Experience in training needs analysis, competency, and performance management frameworks.
